    In the middle of the old city centre of Bucharest, on a recently renovated street opposite to the National Bank, Grand Café van Gogh opened its doors on October 1st.
    Grand Cafe Van Gogh is a slightly intellectual, cozy relaxed, cosmopolitan neighborhood cafe for those who like original music, good food, fast & friendly service and pleasant company in the classy environment of a renovated 1920’s building.

    At the 1st and 2nd floors of the building you will find recently renovated rooms, ready to be made your own in any way you see fit. Just let the original spiral staircase in the café lead you.

    Just walking down the stairs from the Grand Café you will find the century-old vault room that spreads through most part of the basement.

    Inside that vault we have created a space where you can come enjoy great Romanian and foreign wines complimented by our selection of fine Dutch cheeses. All in an exclusively non-smoking space that enhances the tasting experience. .

Reservation policy

We like to keep the Reserved-sign off our tables and fill those tables up based on the principle: 'First come, first sit'.

At the first floor of Van Gogh we have several spaces available for private events, like meetings, cocktails, presentations and business mixers. Send us a mail at info@vangogh.ro or come and have a look! For further details you can also check the Spaces section on the website.

Parking

Around the National Bank and the Library are plenty of parking spaces to find. Strada Smardan itself is since july 2009 a pedestrian area, so there is parking in front of the cafe. That gives us the great opportunity to put a nice terrace out next summer!
